Last week we went to France visiting friends who own a house in the country.
The house is in a typical French village and has a wood burning heater and a huge garden.
Although the house is still a work in progress it is perfect for a little getaway. We got to spend three days of eating croissants, bbqing, sleeping, a little hiking and chopping wood.
For that occasion I brought a new blouse and my Lumberjack boots that I own since I was about twenty years old. Vacation time is over so now it’s back to reality. Happy week everyone!

Last friday my couch was delivered at the ground floor entrance of my building. Unfortunately it did not fit in the elevator.
That ment we had to carry the couch up the stairs to the third floor. Thankfully my mum and dad were nearby and with the four of us we got the couch up to my apartment. Big thank you!!
It looks great and is amazingly comfortable! The only thing I have to look out for is not to become a couch potato.
Notice is a new brand by Bon’a parte. Bon’a parte is an online shop from Denmark.
They used to sell clothes only but now they have so much more. Beautiful home decoration and jewelry. Needless to say I am a big fan and my next shopping bag is already filled with new items. I just have to click the send button.
I’m feeling blue in a good way! I am now living in my new appartment for three months and loving every minute of it!! Where we shot these photos is just around the corner of where I live. It feels urban in the country.
This week will be warm and sunny so enjoy the last days of summer!

As you get older things change, fashion changes.
Sometimes I struggle with what to wear. Can I stil wear this? How short can I wear shorts, skirts and dresses? For example this season there are some trends that I think I should pass by. Like overalls and crop tops. I think I am too old for that. But ripped jeans? I think yes when you wear them casual chique. Like this outfit :-) Conclusion so far, age ain’t nothing but a number and you have to wear what you feel comfortable in.
For me this is it :-)
Happy week every one!
A while ago a colleague of mine was assembling a team to run at the Spieren for spieren run in Hilversum. She asked if I would join, of course I said YES, there was plenty of time to practice…
Last sunday was the big day. I did practice, once. But now there was no going back. Don’t ask me how I made it to the finish. Still, it was fun and next year I’ll probably say YES just as enthusiastically as this year.
After the run I went to see my friends who have the most adorable daughter! Still in the mood for a little race me and her went for it but unfortunately I lost :-). A really fun day and the two days after during which I could barely walk because of the muscle pain were worth it.
During my week off work I thought it would be nice to take a road trip to another country.
Thankfully Belgium is just a 1.5 hour drive so off we went. The weather was cold but sunny, perfect for exploring Antwerp.
Such a day must begin with coffee and a good piece of pie. To be exact: Marsepein pie! Yum! Than: strolling around the city, a bit of shopping and lunch at the Toneelhuis with a lovely view over the Louis Vuitton store. Lovely day in lovely Antwerp.

First of all I would like to thank everybody for their nice and sweet comments about the blog! It encourages me to do many more!
For this shoot we went to Naarden Vesting. I used to go there a lot with Jarka and Spikkel, my parents’ dogs. I would love to have a dog in the future but for now just sweet memories. Even though I can get a little green with envy when I see people walking their dogs ;-)
